🏇 RACE 2: Kwiff Supercharged Betting Scurry Handicap (Premier Handicap) (3yo+) – 6½f | 9:00 AM ET
Tom’s Tips
8 – Moltophino
He drops back to the distance he won two starts ago at the Curragh. He only won one race in his career, but his past three efforts have shown more promise than his previous races. This is a step up, but he is facing some horses he beat in the past.
15 – Gazelle d’Or
She won her last start and has been in the money in her four starts this season, including another win. She has been against males and females; this is a class rise for her, but the only thing that could be an issue is the outside post position, because her form is excellent.
3 – Fort Vega
He won last time out and has improved in each of his five starts this season. He drops back a little in distance. He will show up in this big purse handicap.

4 – True Love
A small field, and this one could be excellent. Moore/O’Brien combo should rule this race. Broke her maiden last time out at Royal Ascot in a Group Two race as the favorite.
2 – Power Blue
He ran a disappointing five in a time out at Royal Ascot after reasonable efforts against some of the top two-year-olds. Only a maiden winner, but if you toss out the last attempt, the other three races have been good.

2 – Power Blue – ran as fast as any at the distance and at the Curragh
4 – True Love – Moore and O’Brien – never a bad race in three
🏇 RACE 4: Barberstown Castle Sapphire Stakes (Group 2) (3yo+) – 5f | 10:05 AM ET
Tom’s Tips
4 – Mgheera
She will be the favorite and for good reason, she won her last two starts, one in a group two at Haydock and a group three race at ParisLongchamp. These are the only races of this season. She’s not great out of the gate but finishes.
5 – Arizona Blaze
He ran second by a neck at Royal Ascot in a group one at 28-1. He’s been out of the money only twice. He should be on or near the lead and David Egan has been on this horse many times. Good ride, good results.
6 – Powerful Nation
He won at Cork last time out at six furlongs. He’s run in the money in all his races on both the turf and all-weather on good to yielding ground.

5 – Arizona Blaze – run back to last year’s 6f race at Curragh at 1:10ish – same race = W
4 – Mgheera – that is coming off a pair of group wins – very beatable
6 – Powerful Nation – ITM 8/8 and usually runs his best in 3rd ups
2 – Rumstar – pairs strong runs – big effort in last
🏇 RACE 5: Juddmonte Irish Oaks (Group 1) (Fillies, 3yo) – 1m4f | 10:40 AM ET
Tom’s Tips
5 – Minnie Hauk
She will be a very short price favorite and should be. Whirl won last time out after being beaten by this horse at Epsom. She lost once in her first start to the second choice in this race. I don’t see anyone beating her unless it’s a really bad day for her.
4 – Merrily
She won twice last year and has done absolutely nothing in three races this year. So why is Aiden O’Brien running this horse? Is she the rabbit or maybe they saw in her works, she is getting better. She runs well or runs last.
7 – Wemighttakedlongway
She beat my top choice in a maiden race as a two-year-old and has a win in a group three this season on the soft going. She been running against the best and ran fourth twice in group one’s. Better today.

6 – Subsonic – taking two shots to beat the heavy favorite – just missed beating the fav in her debut – if it was longer she may have won
7 – Wemighttakedlongway – beat the fav easily when they met last October
5 – Minnie Hauk – the 1/5 favorite coming off 3 wins in a row
🏇 RACE 6: Michael John Kennedy Curragh Cup (Group 2) (3yo+) – 1m6f | 11:15 AM ET
Tom’s Tips
5 – Queenstown
His race once this year with a troubled trip and ran sixth. He ran second to Kyprios last year and two awful races after those efforts. He will prove today but he only has one win in his career but second up, will see.
1 – Al Riffa
He ran second last time out at Royal Ascot losing to Rebel’s Romance. His other two races, he lost to Sosie and Shin Emperor running fourth and third. He’s running in top company but not winning. He will run another good effort today.
6 – Uxmal
He ran at Royal Ascot and won by over five lengths going over 21 furlongs. That was his first start of the season. He drops back in distance and is on a two-race winning streak steps up in race. He is six and only run eight times with three wins and three second. He may just win this race and an ok price.
Rich’s Ranks
1 – Al Riffa – rarely makes 2 starts in a row – finally healthy and Curragh 4/2-2-0
5 – Queenstown – another finally healthy horse – 1st time since last August making 2 starts
3 – Leinster – distance is not a problem and all but 1 of his races gives him a good chance
6 – Uxmal – been off more than a year – did it before and finished 2 – interesting spot to come back
