MUSEUM’S NEWEST TOUR, COMBINING TWO OF KENTUCKY’S TREASURES. >> YOU WILL LEARN A LOT OF THINGS ON THIS TOUR, FROM THE HISTORY OF BOURBON AND HORSE RACING, TO HOW TO SPANK SOME MINT AND MAKE A GREAT MINT JULEP. ALEX: BOURBON AND BRIDLES, A NEW TOUR AT THE KENTUCKY DERBY MUSEUM. >> WE’RE TALKING HORSES EVERY DAY, BUT THERE’S SUCH A TIE-IN BETWEEN THE TWO, WE’D LIKE TO TEACH THEM A LITTLE BIT ABOUT BOTH OF THOSE THINGS. A new tour at Kentucky Derby Museum combines two of Kentucky’s most treasured icons: bourbon and thoroughbreds.This hourlong experience starts with a tour of Churchill Downs, intertwining the history of bourbon and horse racing.The tour ends at Derby Cafe Express at the museum, where guests will enjoy a bourbon tasting and learn to make the famous Mint Julep. The tour will be on Thursdays at 2 p.m. starting Jan. 23.Tickets are $75 per person, which includes general admission to the museum.It includes a gift bag with a Mint Julep simple syrup and recipe, Modjeska candy, a Derby glass and more.For more information, click here.
