RACE 3 – 6:30
Each Way Extra At bet365 Handicap Cl5 (3yo 0-75) 5f
1 – Desert Champion
He is still a maiden after four races but has shown promise in three of four races. In his last start, he jumped out and went right. He straightened and challenged the winner later but lost to finish second.
7 – Fallen Soldier
He is a maiden after twelve races and has finished second three times and third once. He raced forward in the last race and faded in the end. He ran over this race track last November and missed by a neck. The jockey switch should help.
3 – Oakley Boy
He has three wins from eight starts on the all-weather. He won in January by a nose. He went off the favorite last time and showed some speed but didn’t finish. He gets some weight off today with an apprentice jockey.
RACE 4 – 7:00

3 – Papa Don’t Preach
The trainer switched his equipment (from blinkers to visors), and he performed well but ran third by three-quarters of a length. Although he only won on the all-weather course, he showed enough last time to improve again and run six furlongs.
6 – Due Date
He won from the outside post two races ago at this track (12). He returned to the handicap and finished second. He sat behind the leaders in both races, and there are a couple of front runners in this race. This could play to his advantage.
7 – Bear To Dream
Her last race was interesting, to say the least. She lost a shoe and sustained damage to her rear legs, but she still ran third. This is her first race, and if she can avoid shoe issues, I like her chances.

2 – Windsor Pass
She is in great shape right now. In her last six races, she has only finished out of the money once. She has one win, three second-place finishes, and one third. In her most recent race, she started off at the back, switched from inside to outside, and finished third. A better trip and an inside post position should benefit her this time.
7 – Colorado Dancer
After races at one mile or more, the trainer opted for a seven-furlong race last time out and better results running third and showing speed. The horse has had some awful races before. He’s never won on the all-weather and only once in a thirteen-race career. But he showed life last time out, and maybe it’s a sign of life last time.
5 – Time Patrol
In his last two races, he won and then lost at Newcastle. He returns to running the turn and has good overall runs at this track. Last time, he sat in the rear of the field and made little progress late. A late run again will get him in the money.
RACE 6 – 8:00
6 Horses Challenge At bet365 Handicap Cl6 (4yo+ 0-65) 1m
11 – Taskheer
His last two have been good efforts, with a win at Lingfield, and he ran second last time out at Southwell by a head. He’s won at this distance at this track in the past. Move up a bit, and he gets in light on the weights with his low rating. Price?
2 – Born A Rebel
He’s run four times on all-weather tracks and finished third in three of those races. Last time, he ran ten furlongs, but the trainer couldn’t explain the poor performance to the stewards. I can: it was the wrong distance and two turns. We should see a better effort with a return to one turn in a one-mile race.
5 – Miss Sunset Strip
This is a second-up after an okay first run since the layoff. She’s only won once in nine starts with three seconds. She’s tried this distance once before, but that was on the turf on the soft going. All weather will make a difference.
RACE 7 – 8:30

8 – Laurentia
He went from ten-furlong races to the one-turn mile. He ran a bit last time and didn’t finish; maybe the shorter race will make the difference. He’s raced 56 times on the all-weather and won only six times. This nine-year-old showed some life in his last two races and will win today.
2 – Velvet Vortex
He never seems to break well at the start and has been plodding along in his races, finishing fourth in his last two outings. Why will he perform better today? Looking at this field, these horses have issues in some of their races, and if he gets off to a slow start again, this time, he will have something left at the end to secure a place in the money.
5 – Heerathetrack
He lost by three lengths last time at Lingfield, finishing third. He’s won at this track going seven furlongs, but that was a while ago. Maybe the one-turn mile will help his chances because he is good at finishing third over seven furlongs.

3 – PAPA DON’T PREACH – most recent back class – trending up
7 – BEAR TO DREAM – best races came after rest – like today
10 – LION’S DREAM – ran more than 2 seconds faster last out
4 – LION RING – bounce back race coming in 3rd up

9 – MATCH ANTHEM – last race better than it looks – with the same time – not that far from winning last six races
1 – STELLA HOGAN – most consistent performer in the field
4 – SHAMARDIA – faster last out and 50/50 he pops or drops in 2nd up
6 – MOND – a little faster in last and could be on a career best effort here
Race 6: 6 HORSES CHALLENGE AT BET 365 HANDICAP
1 – KITARO KICH – most back class – won last two in a row with ease – some concern with peak regression
9 – ANGELICA K – should be as good maybe plenty better in the 2nd up
6 – WALEYFA – last 4 races has been good enough to win here
11 – TASKHEER – improved in the last four races and trend could continue in 3rd off the sidelines
Race 7: WATCH LIVE RACING AT BET 365 HANDICAP
2 – VELVET VORTEX – last race was better than the finish – was slightly faster
7 – REPARTEE – making the 3rd start in a row for the first time in a while – finally healthy
4 – WE’RENOTREALLYHERE – most recent back class – run back to October race is a winner
3 – TACTICAL CONTROL – probably the most consistent – Tom horse
