13 – Small Fry – shortens up in distance after running sixth at Royal Ascot. Better spot today.
9 – Sing Us A Song – maybe on the lead in this paceless race. Has three runs and all have been ok; James Doyle returns to the saddle.
10 – Valedictory – it took a while for this horse to stay healthy, and in the last four races, he has won his last two. He’s the one to beat.

10 – Valedictory – most logical here – 1/1 at Goodwood – 2/2 at the distance.
1 – Tarriance – Group 2 dropper – distance and footing no problem.
14 – Incensed – longshot that could improve enough in 2nd up.
4 – Hopewell Rock – Ryan Moore – another making second start – does better when engaged early.
Race 2 – Coral Glorious Stakes (Group 3)
Tom’s Tips
1 – Al Aasy – he’s won the last two runnings of this race and won a prep race last time out at Beverley after a layoff. One other race this season was second at Newbury. A Listed or Group Three horse.
5 – King’s Gambit – after trying Group One company and failing badly last time out, this race is much more suited. The odds aren’t as long as I thought they would be.
6 – Midak – ran two fourths this season in Listed races after coming back from Dubai in Listed company. Is this his spot? I will take a shot at a high price.

8 – In My Teens – when she comes to form – tends to continue on.
1 – Al Aasy – winner 2/3 at Goodwood and maybe better in 2nd up.
2 – Enfjaar – tends to fire ITM first ups.
Race 3 – Qatar Lillie Langtry Stakes (Group 2)
Tom’s Tips
4 – Goodie Two Shoes – is this the spot she pops after running second last time out? She ran second in the Melbourne Cup at 40-1 and was a bust in her next start. Good odds at this point.
2 – Consent – terrible race last time in Paris for her first start of the season. In her six races before, she ran first or second, including a Group One win at Longchamp. If she is back in form and you toss the last race, she should win.
7 – Amelia Earhart – she won at Chester in her first start of the season, and the last two races have been disappointing efforts. Being a 3-year-old, she gets weight off and Ryan Moore. Dropping from Group One races gives her a chance.

Race 4 – Coral Stewards’ Cup (Heritage Handicap)
Tom’s Tips
13 – Stratusnine – won last time at Yarmouth and ran third at Chester the race before. I think he’s got a good draw to repeat. His form is the best of late, and stall five only helps his chances. The odds have drifted down from earlier.
8 – Two Tribes – finally showed something last time at Royal Ascot, running second at 28-1. He has one good effort in Dubai and then four very forgettable races after that. Maybe back for a better effort again.
25 – Dark Thirty – ran second at the Curragh last time and won at Chester with a good draw. He’s shown up sometimes and run awful other times. Draw is ok, maybe today?
27 – Gold Star Hero – after winning three in a row at lower levels on the all-weather, he ran fifth on the soft going at Epsom in a Class 2 race. He’s better on the all-weather, but he has a good draw here and could hit at a price.

11 – Garfield Shadow – super longshot – but back in the day had form – boom or bust in 2nd after more than a year off.
13 – Stratusnine – the right distance 4/2-2-0 and ITM 7/9 on grass.
6 – Sondad – if he takes to Goodwood – solid run last out and tends to stay in form.
Race 5 – Phase Eight Handicap
Tom’s Tips
1 – Wild Desert – he drops from Listed and Group company, after a few good efforts, to a level he has a strong chance. Only one win but overall good efforts. Buick/Appleby, one of the favorites.
7 – Naval Light – won his last two races, a maiden and a Class Four race. In his earlier races, he tried and failed to win, and there was only one really bad race of the bunch. Has run at Goodwood and finished second. Big class jump, but look at those odds.
3 – We’re Goosers – toss the last race at Royal Ascot; he is not a miler and has failed before trying one mile. He does very well at seven furlongs and should be the favorite. If he likes the course, he has a strong chance of doing well.
