RACE 5
5 – Imaginate
She won her barrier trial in a good time. It costs $300k, and this foal is the first to race. The mare won her first time out at this track. She should like the soft going.
12 – Cantiamo
She ran to barrier trials, won her last start, and ran second in her first trial—top sire with four group one winners 2 years old at a 24%-win rate and 17 stakes winners. One sibling from two to race won three races from sixteen starts. She should like the soft going. Good odds.
6 – Within the Law
She won the first time out in a listed race, coming from off the pace and winning by one and a half lengths. In her latest barrier trial, she ran fourth. Favorite but not an overwhelming favorite at odds of 3-1.
RACE 6
3 – Tavi Time
Ran third last time out at this level. He closed from the ninth position. He ran fourth in a listed race two races back and won at 1600m at Warwick Farms at this level, in form and good post position.
10 – So Dazzling
She did nothing in her first race back after a layoff and ran the last of fifteen. This was a group three race, and the drop should help. She won her only start at this distance but has won in two years. Her record is one win and three places from nineteen starts, but she ran against group-level horses. Big odds and but has won second up and placed from four starts.
13 – Morning Sun
He ran well last time out but didn’t make much progress. He’s going up again but has won third-up before. He won his first season start at the BM78 level, going 2000m. He is one for two at this distance. I think he will run a good race today.
RACE 7
11 – Kadavar
He won his last two races at this distance and is three for three. He moves up in class and has the form to get a three-in-a-row win. He is versatile, with the last two races coming from the back of the field in the previous and the race before running closer to the pace.
3 – Sea King
He showed little in his last race, but this was the group one Melbourne Cup. He won the race before at this distance in a group three race. He has a good record at this distance, with eight starts, four wins, and two placings. He comes into the race off a barrier trial, which was average. He should be the favorite.
9 – Mormona
He ran second in his last race. It was a listed race at this distance. He is another horse who loves this distance, with four starts, one win, and three placings. This is a talented group at this distance, but he will get an in-the-money finish.
RACE 8
2 – Gringotts
He hasn’t done much wrong since coming back from the layoff. He has won twice and finished second twice. He is undefeated at this distance. He won his first group race last time. It is a class rise again, but he was doing well and had a favorable post position.
9 – Steparty
He has two in-the-money finishes at this distance. Last time, he ran third to my top choice after sitting behind the leaders. He hasn’t won in over twelve months, so I think the is his rightful spot again.
14 – Xidaki
He ran a good third last time, coming off the pace at 1500m. In a 10 million dollar race the time before, he did nothing except run in the race. But he ran second in a group three the time before. He is one for one at the distance and has 12 starts, three wins, and seven placings. When at the right level, he’s dangerous.
RACE 9
1 – Burdenell
First up last time after a layoff, he showed speed before running fifth at 1000m. He generally sits close to the pace. Second up, five starts and two wins. He dropped from a group three race last time and should be one of the favorites.
7 – Pernille
He ran at Rosehill last time after a layoff in a listed race and ran fifth in an even effort, losing by less than two lengths. This is his preferred distance, and he has a wild record, preferring to run second. From his 15 starts, he has four wins and ten placings. He has never won at the listed level but has placed.
5 – Hedged
He ran third off the layoff in a group three race over 1000m. He sat in eighth and moved up. He has never won at this distance, but from four tries, he placed in three races. His overall record is 12 starts, four wins, and five placings. He has won second up but I think he gets an in-the-money run today.

6 – WITHIN THE LAW – closed in winning her debut

Race 6: COOLMORE SPELLING @ MOUNT WHITE HANDICAP – 11:25 pm ET
2 – KERCHAK – won three in a row – good 6/3-2-0
13 – MORNING SUN – expecting a little better in 3rd up
6 – KETTLE HILL – really sharp in the last two races
12 – SALTCOATS – quintessential Tom horse, win maybe – ITM – and that’s all I need
Race 7: MAX BRENNER CHRISTMAS CUP – 12 am ET
11 – KADAVAR – unbeaten in 3 at the distance
12 – ALALCANCE – should be forward – maybe the only one – good 4/1-3-0
9 – MOMONA – longshot ITM Tom type too – good 5/0-3-1
6 – NIKAU – none is in better form right now
Race 8: THE INGHAM – 12:40 am ET
2 – GRINGOTTS – unbeaten in 4 at the distance
10 – LEKVARTE – horse for the course 6/4-0-01 – likes the distance too – 11/5-01
18 – ESTADIO MESTALLA – good form – bad draw? Should stalk with a field of closers
9 – STEPARTY – another Tom horse – solid on good footing – finished 3rd in the last three
Race 9: RACING & SPORTS RAZOR SHARP HANDICAP – 11:20 am ET
4 – CONTEMPORARY – track, distance, footing – all – good should be better in 2nd up
7 – PEREILLE – strong at the distance 14/3-9-1 – and rarely makes two starts in a row – finally heathy?
8 – JEDIBEEL – 3rd up – won last 3rd up – wins or finishes 2nd 16/6-6-1
3 – EAGLE NEST – could be lone speed – right fractions and they might not catch her
