Race 1

7 – Echo Foxtrot – She won her debut race at Laurel Park; the trainer wins 37% of the claiming races he has an entry in and Lasix is added.

4 – Justhappy – She finished in 6th in her last race after breaking slowly but finished in the money in the six races before winning one of the contests and she has high % winning trainer and jockey.

2 – SILVER R – if the morning line make likes the 4, you have to like the 2 as well, similar workouts but one year older

4 – SPIKEZONE – Jamie Ness 1st time starter with good Laurel Park works, teams with jy Jaime Rodriguez, pair wind at 29% together, down a touch

3 – GORDO’S CHOICE – another first time starter with OK works, just not as good as top 2

6 – MISSION KEY – the experienced horse with the best numbers, TLRSP#, going back to a sprint

 

Race 2 – 5 ½ Furlongs, 18 races, 13 won by speed, 7 w2w – PP: 2/3 bias, rail fair, 4+ penalty, 0 wins 8+

1 – HAZELS LITTLE MAN – should be better in the 2nd start after a layoff, TLRPS# anyway and the Jaime/Jamie combo again

3 – OPUS EQUUS – track drop from OP and class drop, OK works getting ready, gets a top jockey in Carol Cedeno

2 – WAR OF THRONES – ships in from Monmouth, gets a weight break, drops a couple of classes

Race 3 – 6 Furlongs, 24 races, 21 won by speed, 10 w2w – PP: Strong rail bias the rest are mostly fair

1 – SUTTON VALLEY – has a really aggressive EP advantage, rides the dominate rail and drops a few classes  – should be w2w

7 – BOURBON OVER ICE – track dropper from GP – been cleaning up with track droppers, a little worried about blah Delaware work

2 – TRIPLE TITOS – cuts back in distance and class, last race was a little better than it looks with similar fractions at 1 mile compares to 6f

3 – BIG IRISH EYES

 

Race 4 – 6 Furlongs, 24 races, 21 won by speed, 10 w2w – PP: Strong rail bias the rest are mostly fair

1 – LANFRANKOPHILE – comes in from Monmouth, little drop in class, better LP#s last out, 4/2-1-1 at 6f

7 – ECHO FOXTROT – won his debut with a sharp performance, gets 1st Lasix here and jy Jorge Ruiz 8/5-2-0 at DP

3 – SPICY MARGARITA – TLRSP# at Laurel Park, improved pace# in last and is likely better in round 2 after a layoff

6 – MY BOSS – will likely press for the lead, Eddie C angle, June 11th work,  fastest of 54, but has need a tune up race

 

Race 5 – 1 Mile 70 Yards Turf – moved to dirt

2 – SHED A TEAR – tr Victor Carrasco, Jr winner 5/10 when dropping 2+ classes, top EP/LP combo of what’s left after scratches

5 – PAPA JIMMY – should be 2nd 3rd out of the gate and has a strong LP edge

11 – LIVEFORTHESONG – likely to be co-pilot and ran well on and good track last out

6 – ROCKY DICE – has a win and third in two on and off track

 

Race 6 – 5 ½ Furlongs, 18 races, 13 won by speed, 7 w2w – PP: 2/3 bias, rail fair, 4+ penalty, 0 wins 8+

5 – SHACKS WAY – speed demon, likely to get the lead and could hold on, muddy track is concern

4 – FOURTEENEIGHTYFOUR – hasn’t raced since last August, but won only two races EZ, works are only OK getting ready, but has plenty of speed before going to the barn and gets 1st Lasix

2 – THE KING CHEEK – runs OK off the bench, like today, workouts are good, 5/2-2-0 on and off track

3 – RILEYS DUDE – drops in class after a really strong effort in first after a break, looking for more today

 

Race 7 – 1 1/16 Mile Turf, moved to dirt

2 – STIR CRAZY – could have better form in her third race after a layoff, 2/1-1-0 on off track

7 – MOSALAH – never ran on an off track, but the turf numbers says she should be aright

12 – EQUAL MEASURE – Ruben Silvera comes to ride for Jamie Ness – one of two mounts on the day

10 – A REAL JEWEL – is one for one on an off track and should be a part of the early pace

 

Race 8 – Race 4 – 6 Furlongs, 24 races, 21 won by speed, 10 w2w – PP: Strong rail bias the rest are mostly fair 

3 – BUTTONED UP – could get to the lead and not look back, improved 4f #s in last, important in sprints

4 – SIMPLY VALID – is dropping a couple of classes,  a 26% winner for trainer Dale Capuano

2 – BACKATYA – GP track dropper with EP, 1 for 1 on and sloppy track

5 – ALWAYS DRINKING – if the 3 doesn’t take the lead, he will and see if he can hold on late
