3 – Varton – She won her last race at Horseshoe Indianapolis, she has the highest last race speed, has the highest speed figure at today’s distance and the trainer /jockey combo in the last 14 days has this record (7 2-0-0).

1 – Could You – She came in from Oaklawn and tried the turf for the first time and did not take to it – She returns to the dirt and should improve as her best dirt speed is fastest among today’s starters.

5 – Lady Atlantic – She came in from Hawthorne after winning two races in a row to try Horseshoe Indianapolis for the first time and she can handle the distanced.

3 – VARTON – just ran a peak number, the last time she popped, she followed it up with a little regression, but still a very solid race

4 – SENTIMENTALJOURNEY – small drop in class and should be coming at the end, probably best of the bunch at the distance 6/3-0-1

1 – COULD YOU – would not have bet this gal last out, but expect a strong effort in her 2nd start off the bench, two very good works since last race

5 – LADY ATLANTIC – not much difference between the rest, might as well take the one that will be closer to the front at the jump

 

Race 2 – 1 Mile 70 Yards, 24 races, 17 won by speed, 6 w2w – PP: strong rail bias, almost fair 2/3, slight bonus 4-7, now winners 8+

7 – RONITHELIMODRIVER – dropping multiple classes, showed LP improvement, 3rd off the break

5 – BARSTOW – TLRSP#, drops in class, was better in the first ½ mile, hung on to speed longer, 24% win rate for trainer Genaro Garcia 2nd off the claim

4 – INHERENT POWERS – he also had better 2/4f pace numbers in his last and moves down in class

7 – ROUNDER – trainer Randy Klopp hits at 31% 3rd off the break, should be rolling late and the extra distance should help

2 – JACKS SPRING BREAK – been knocking at the door at the distance 5/0-3-2, showed improved 2/4f pace #s in last

1 – DANNY’S LIL DANA – rides the 31% rail, drops on class, last time he ran at this level, held the lead until the final stride

4 – AARON’S CONQUEST – good works for tr John Ortiz, winner of 3/10 at HIndy

1 – HE GOES FOREVER – tough post but the best works for the rest

 

Race 5 – 1 Mile 70 Yards, 24 races, 17 won by speed, 6 w2w – PP: strong rail bias, almost fair 2/3, slight bonus 4-7, now winners 8+ 

6 – PABLO’S SUN – LS – MSW dropper that show a lot more EP In his last race, to start 3 yo campaign, he’s going to be better today and probably the one they have to catch

7 – ZOLO – MSW dropper with the most room for upside with only one career race, you just don’t know

3 – PRINCE SHIM – showed speed in his first route race, looks better than all the other MCL’s with TLSRP#

2 – WHISKY RIVERS

 

Race 6 – 6 Furlongs, 64 races, 50 won by speed, 13 w2w – PP: 8+ best, all the rest close to fair with 2/3 getting a minor bump up

8 – CAP DE FUEGO – BB –  has one of the biggest EP advantages on the card today, has raced well against open company – gets a break vs state breds today

2 – JOVA – 1st off the claim for trainer Kim Hammond, a 23% angle, ran TLRSP# and was better ATB

7 – DOUBLE TUFF – drops in class for 100K non graded stakes, ran better time in the first half mile of his last race

6 – TWO LAST WORDS

 

Race 7 – 1 Mile Turf, 34 races, 21 won by speed, 9 w2w – PP: rail fair, 2/3 solid bonus, 4-7 fair, 8+ struggle

5 – JUDY’S WAY – has a pair of turf miles in her last 5 races, 2 by 3/4s and 3rd by 1/2, TLRSP# with early race improvement, trending in the right direction for the 3rd off the bench

3 – HASHTAG WINNER – CD track dropper, record says there is room for improvement in 2nd start after a layoff, tr Genaro Garcia 24% 2nd off the claim

7 – HOHOHOHO – this is the one they all will have to catch, faded badly last out but absolutely has the ability to go w2w

2 – MOONSHINE DREAMER – put in a strong effort in her last, trainer David Reid must have liked what he saw with better 4/6f times as he moves her up a few classes

 

Race 8 – 1 Mile 70 Yards, 24 races, 17 won by speed, 6 w2w – PP: strong rail bias, almost fair 2/3, slight bonus 4-7, now winners 8+

4 – GOLDEN RAPPER – been close in the last two, has some EP, which should put him close to the pace in his first route

5 – HITCHPIN – same as the 4, going long for the first time, has the best LP and top EP/LP combo

7 – GOT LOST – just missed last out with TLRSP#, should be better in 2nd go after 7 months off, but had 12 chances to get first W already

3 – MOTION TO ADJOURN – been close in his last two, flips back to dirt after trying turf with much, much better fractions
