2 starts this season winning the last start by a head, she found room with 100m left
Guts win over the heavy going
1st start was at 1400m, not her best distance and ran an awful 7th
Melbourne Cup winner in November at 3200m

Will sit behind the front runner in this small field and move late

Good effort last out to my top choice and she got caught at 200m and fought hard to the end
This was a good effort after some very bad runs before the layoff, not running at all
Sits behind the leader (Entente) and moves on the turning for home
She hasn’t won a race in 2 years

Faced the favorite here last time and didn’t do too well, running 7th. Coming off a layoff, fitness for that race was a question mark

Beating on heavy track by Converge last out but had pre-race issues and had to be checked at the starting gate but a vet then started awkwardly
Came flying at the end so look for him to be in the back of field
He has won 2 group 1 races and placed in 5 of them

He has not run this distance in previous starts and never won at this track from 3 tries
Won last race over heavy track by a head, ran midpack early part of the race
After 2 thirds, 3UP he ran his race beating my top selection
He’s by Frankel who’s sired many, many distance horses (and champion)
3 – Profondo

Winner at the distance in group 1 race
Last out after layoff was a stinker, he ran wide, no cover and fanned out wide coming into the stretch
This was over a soft track
He better than the rest of the field but there are question about him liking a heavy track
He’s by top Japanese sire Deep Impact and the offspring have done well on all surfaces, conditions and tracks. He’s sire was Sunday Silence

Tried the distance once and ran 8th

Last race ran 3rd after running in the back of the field. He was the widest of all horses heading for the finish and ran the farthest of the field.
That run should make fitter for this race

On the heavy going, she’s run 5 times and won 4 of them
Winner of 2 in a row, last being a group 1 at 1300m
She could make all the running or be right off the pace
In form for a placing here
Race 8 – GOLDEN SLIPPER G1
3 – Best of Bordeaux

No runs at distance, both races at 1100
Won last on rain soaked soft going
Both wins at Rosehill in group 2 & 3 races
Speed of the race, should run at front, got tired at the end last out but that was a qualifier for this race
Won his barrier trial coming into this race
Concern is the starting post, 10 but being a front runner that maybe ok
17 – Sweet Ride

Ran 2nd in only start at 1200m
Has never been on a good going track, only soft or heavy
Had issues straightening for the finish last run but still got 2nd in group 2 race, comment line was “gallant effort”
Better trip, I see a placing here
8 – Coolangatta

Won 2 races at 1200m
Last start at Gold Coast was impressive win, sat 4th most of the race and moved to the leaders to win.
Group 3 winner (twice) and last race, the Magic Million is an open race
Layoff of 62 days is an interesting way to prepare for this race
Starting post is a bit of a concern at 14 but won last from 10
Race 9 – THE GALAXY G1

He’s done well on the soft going with 3 starts 2 wins 1 second
Toss last race, why do you put blinkers on a horse that’s been winning (or running 2nd) in last 6 races before?
Group 1 winner (and group 3)
Race against some good horses-Anamoe, Paulele, Home Affairs
Comes in off layoff with 2 barrier trials winning one of them and 2nd in the other
I think they will put him on the lead since he drew post 2 for start

He’s 3 for 3 on the soft going
Winner last out at Gold Coast after being away from the races for 9 months
Had issues in the race, being steady and boxed before getting out and winning by 2L
Has a 2-month break coming into this race but FU, he’s 4 starts 3 wins 1 second
He’s only won in open races, no group wins, chance here
Draw is a bit of a concern
