Meydan Racecourse Horse Racing Tip and Analysis

22 to 1 Tom’s Tips

Race 2

9 – Sharar – Post 5

The first run at Meydan was an ok effort for the first start, ran 4th with some place late.

Inside post 1, the first start, this is a better draw.

He is by Gun Runner, whose offspring have done well.

The dam has a has produce 11 foals to race, 6 winners, but there is one who is an outstanding winner, Lady Eli. She was the champion female turf horse in 2017.

Most of her runners have been turf horses but in this case with Gun Runner, dirt certainly shouldn’t be an issue.

6 – Mr Raj – Post 2

One start at Jebel Ali in a 4-horse field and ran 2nd.

He took the lead at the 800m mark and was clear at one point, got tired and was beaten by a head at the end.

Takes the lead and doesn’t look back? Maybe

Sire is Bolt D’Oro, whose first crop raced last year with good success, including Instant Coffee and a couple of others on the Kentucky Derby trail.

The dam has produced 5 runners 2 winners but nothing special yet.

Change the jockey to Ray Dawson and put him on the lead again.

Running the same distance again.

2 – Go Soldier Go – Post 9

The first run was at Meydan going 1600m and ran 3rd beaten by 7.25L and ran a race I would call, beat everyone else but didn’t threaten the top 2 horses.

Needed first start? Should improve here.

Switch the jockey

Sire was a good racehorse and has done ok with the breeding shed.

The dam has produced 5 runners, and 1 winner, so nothing special.

Race 3

2 – Cairn Island – Post 10

First, starting after a 10-month break, he ran a nothing race running 7 of 8, and the description was run in a pair in the back of the field.

He was running at a distance he’s never done well at and at a higher level.

Drops in class and in the distance where he has won 3 races from 7 starts.

Starting post is really my only concern

11 – Invincibly – Post 12\

He’s raced twice in Dubai without success but these starts were on the dirt, and his best running has been done on the turf.

11 starts with 2 wins 5 seconds

The last run in England was a winning effort at 1600m at Carleton

Layoff, 2 races on a surface he’s never done well at and the 1200m maybe just the type he needs.

3 – Stunning Beauty – Post 4

This is his first start in Dubai after many runs in England.

He hasn’t won in a while but with 5 starts first up he has 2 wins 1 placing.

This is not his ideal distance but I wasn’t look for a him to win, just run in the money.

Race 4

1 – Sovereign Prince – Post 1

Top rated horse in this race but hasn’t run since a race in Saudi Arabia at the group 3 level vs. Baffert’s horse Pinehurst. He ran 5th.

No races since February 2022, so why pick?

Trained by Charlie Appleby and William Buicks only riding on the Meydan card points to preparing a horse for bigger things to come.

But he made be an overbet favorite too?

In prior races he won 3 in a row at Meydan and Epsom

6 – Perfect Love – Post 7

Since layoff, he run twice with 2 third place finishes in a Rated and Condition company.

One dirt race one turf race.

He ran in that race with the top choice in Saudi Arabia running 10th, and the next starts were dull efforts.

I think he’s good enough to run in the money again.

May improve but I don’t think he’s good enough to beat the top choice.

4 – Tamborrada – Post 8

Ran first race after the layoff was dull but he has won 2 up and 3 up too.

He’s been better on the AW with 2 starts 2 wins.

His turf win was a Doncaster in a handicap and that was off his wins at Lingfield.

Drops in distance from last race but has never run the 1600m.

He has 6 starts with 3 wins

Better here today?

Race 5

4 – Street Mood – Post 6

Since his arrival in Dubai, he has started 3 times running 2nd in the first start at 1200m then 2 races at 1600m with 1 win and one out-of-the-money run.

In the last race, he ran 6th at a steady pace but had a terrible start post of 14.

The same class level again with a better draw should result in much better results.

14 – Triple Venture – Post 13

Won last out at Meydan going 1400m in a lower-level race.

Overall, he did well in the 3 starts a Meydan after the layoff.

With 7 starts 1 win 1 second 3 thirds

I don’t know if he can repeat a win but certainly has been going well enough to finish in the money.

Ray Dawson rides again.

The post position is not great.

11 – Mayaadeen – Post 1

3 starts since the layoff all at Jebel Ali with runs on 1 win 2 seconds at the 1400m and 1600m distances.

He’s running style is sitting behind leaders then making the lead,

8 starts 2 wins 1 second 1 third say to me be can beat the remainder of this field.

Race 6

10 – Kanood – Post 8

One start since layoff running 3rd by 1/2L at the distance of 2410m.

Drops to 1900m distance and has 2 starts 1 win 1 second.

Drops in class from 70-90 to 65-80 ratings

The second start should be a winning effort against this group.

14 starts 2 wins 2 seconds 1 thirds.

15 – Daneyan – Post 3

This old guy (8yo) ran 3rd last out vs similar, well this race has some higher-level horses but he’s well at the distance 13 starts 3 wins 1 third.

I also liked the last race because the previous races were beaten by 19L, 12L, 11L, and 17L.

He’s raced 42 times with 7 wins, 3 seconds 3 thirds.

The jockey rode this horse last time and returns today.

3 – Act Of Wisdom – Post 7

Ran well in his last race running 3rd at 2200m and ran on well at the end.

Slight drop in class but rated the same 78 as the last race.

Another horse with a 2nd start after layoff and should make a good account of himself here.
