Curragh Horse Racing Picks
22 to 1 Tom’s Tips

Race 2
GAIN Marble Hill Stakes (In Memory Of Theresa Marnane) (Group 3) (2yo) 6f
2 – Camille Pissarro
6 – The Parthenon
4 – Midnight Strike
Race 3
Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes (Group 2) (4yo+) 6f
2 – Moss Tucker – Draw 3
Won his first start of the season in a listed race by two lengths at five furlongs. He’s never won beyond seven furlongs and six furlongs suits him with eight starts, three wins and two seconds. He’s better at five furlongs but good, in form horses know how to win. He will again.
3 – Regional – Draw 4
At the end of his season, he ran in two group 1 races after starting at the handicap level and won one and ran fifth in another. The fifth run was against a very fast (that day) horse who didn’t stop. The final race was impressive win by a neck at six furlongs. He has won before off a layoff and should be ready again with this start.
8 – Ano Syra – Draw 6
Ran fourth for his first season start by two and half lengths. He sat behind the leaders and didn’t finish. He’s had success with his second starts but not winning efforts but his better at six furlongs than five furlongs with a record of nine starts, two wins, two seconds and two thirds.
Race 4
Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Orby Stakes (Listed) (4yo+) 1m4f
11 – Sumiha – Draw 10
With only two starts, the horse won last year’s maiden run by half a length. Then, in April, she ran to lose to the same rival in her first race of the season. It’s the same distance as last time; she may have needed that last run to win today. The draw is a question mark.
1 – Candleford – Draw 5
He hasn’t raced since last September and finished with a disappointing run. He’s come in off layoffs and either won or finished third. The trainer gets them ready, and Ryan Moore gets the mount.
3 – Raise You – Draw 2
He comes into this race with one run with a fourth-place finish in a group 3 race. He won a group 3 race at the Curragh in August. This is a drop in company and the distance suits.
Race 5
Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas (Group 1) (3yo) 1m
8 – Unquestionable – Draw 2
His last run was a win at Santa Anita in the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Turf. First start of the season and really hasn’t run a bad race yet. Aiden O’Brien has other entries in this race but I think this could be the best one after two good races. Jockey switch to Wayne Lordan from Ryan Moore because he’s riding River Tiber.
3 – Haatem – Draw 7
In his two starts this season, he won a Group 3 race and finished third in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket last time out. He’s improved from last season and will be stronger at the finish today.
6 – Rosallion – Draw 6
Ran second in his last race, the 2000 Guineas by one and half lengths. Made the first move, ran first, and was caught by Notable Speech. He beat Unquestionable last season, the ParisLongchamp in group 1. He’s the favorite, and I am going to try to beat him.

Girl Racer
Moving up in class and ran third in a handicap last time up out and lack room to get clear running. It looked like he had plenty of horse with a clear run. She’s won one time on the all-weather but her last race it telling me she is ready for a big effort. Big odds
You Send Me
Ran second last time out at seven furlongs at the Curragh. Her first race was at the Curragh, at six furlongs, and she ran 4th. She also has won only one race and appears to be improving. A little more distance may be the answer for a second win.
Ocean Jewel
She is returning from a layoff and ran four times last year. Her first two races were good, but her previous two races weren’t. Maybe being freshened up will make the difference and will get off to a good start again.

13 – UNEQUAL LOVE – right distance 5/4-0-0 – resume says 2nd up could be a winning effort
7 – SHOULDVEBEENARING – almost always competitive in Group races – coming off a good effort
2 – MOSS TUCKER – making second off the sidelines, won that pair of 2nd ups
Race 4: Al Basti Equiworld Dubai Orby Stakes – 10:05 am est
3 – RAISE YOU – winner 4/8 at Curragh and won 2/2 at the distance and 3 of last 4 on good
7 – BEECHWOOD – only made two races in a row once and it was her best race
11 – SUMIHA – just a half length from winning both races, won debut at Curragh at the distance on good footing
10 – SCARLETT O’HARA – won her lone race the Curragh – 1st up since September is the question
Race 5: Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas – 10:40 am est
5 – RIVER TIBER – tell, Ryan Moore riding here instead of the 8 – both Aidan O’Brien horses
6 – ROSALLION – Never a bad race and going to be the favofite
8 – UNQUESTIONABLE – Breeders Cup winner – close 2nd when racing versus ROSALLION
1 – ATLANTIC COAST – let’s take a shot, won debut on lone Curragh race on good turf
Sunday:
Race 3: Lanwades Stud Stakes – 9:35 am est
3 – GREGARINA – closer – mile record 9/2-3-2 –hasn’t run a good for a while – won lone Curragh trip
6 – ORCHID BLOOM – expecting a better performance today – distance 5/1-2-1, 2nd in only trip on a good rated track
7 – ROGUE MILLENNIUM – been running in Group 1s – last win was a G2 today – no way I’m puttinh her on top with 3/2 odds in a race where all horses have question marks
2 – GOLDANA – looks like a new horse in 2024 – but might prefer a soft to heavy track
Race 4: Tattersalls Gold Cup – 10:10 am est
6 – MASHHOOR – let’s take a shot with a bomb to beat the heavy favorite – Curragh 5/3-0-0 – 3rd up
1 – AUGUSTE RODIN – this is the 3/5 ML Fav – winner 7/11, Breeders Cup winner – been off for a long time though
7 – WHITE BIRCH – winner of two in row in 2024 – both at Curragh – looks like a new horse in 2024
3 – ELEGANT MAN – never a bad race in 4 – all on AW – if it translates to turf…
Race 5: Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas – 10:45 am est
1 – A LILAC ROLLA – undefeated in 3 – you don’t know how good a horse is until it loses, but has beaten the ML favorite
9 – OPERA SINGER – this is that favorite – unbeaten in 3 at the distance
13 – SKILLET – always very well bet – been off since October, but bettors believe the class is there
3 – AZADA – looks like a big step up in class from debut – but class rating on Par with a lot of others – won for fun – closer with more distance today and was well bet
