2 – Motel Mischief – ran green in the first start but looks better than the results. Price.
4 – Laucadia – working on all-weather and breed for turf.
13 – Field Lass – drew in from AE, showed speed in first start, moved from the turf. The mare side is all turf.
Race 2 –
8 – Hidden Class – good first run at Saratoga, issues at the start. Maybe favorite.
4 – Urban Dreamer – excellent first effort, workouts good for this race.
3 – Edistrudis – a dirt winner, toss last, high percentage trainer first turf run.
13 – Crazy Cami – chased the pace last out, held third, turf? The first one I have seen from the sire Audible.
Race 3 –
5 – Olkovskha – won at Lyon & Bordeaux, needed first start in the states.
4 – Federalist Papers – last run well but had to check during the race; ran second last year at this track.
8 – Shad Nation – last race a bit of a mess, running on frontend in last 2. Won here last year.
Race 4 –
3 – Ready for Change – good works, awful last race, has shown some interest in turf running. Price.
1 – Happy Soul – good runs on the turf lately, ran second here last year in stakes. Favorite?
7 – Linguistic – nice runs lately, good turf record.
Race 5 –
5 – Great Runner – prep race at Evangeline in mud, traffic issues, paid $775k. This race was the plan all along.
1 – Utah Beach – inside run, swing out 4 wide, couldn’t get to the winner
4 – Hoglayers RIP – blinkers on after running on frontend last race, and nothing left. First start of the year.
Race 6 –
9 – Sponge Bath – good win first out having to duel; good works coming into this race.
5 – Midnight Lumberjack – showed pace after a slow start in his first career race; gate workout and adding blinkers may make the difference.
10 – Coin Miner – He just missed in the first start and had some issues in the race, he had a good workout in the mud at CD.
Race 7 –
7 – Ocean Atlantique – valuable race at Saratoga for prep, showed pace early and empty at the finish.
4 – Street Ready – hasn’t raced since December but has steady workouts and has been competitive at this level.
6 – Wolfie’s Dynaghost – back to the turf after average effort on the all-weather. Turf record good 11 starts, two wins, 2 seconds, 3 thirds.
Race 8 –
6 – American Retro – the first turf try, in-the-money all four races, turf breeding
8 – Erna – OK, effort lasts with issues, needs a good trip, and coming at the end.
10 – Ivory Moon – won first start in January, then put away to return here. Interesting.
Race 9 –
9 – Yes This Time – claimed last race to run here; interesting move.
8 – English Bee – fair effort last out at Saratoga, will put in a reasonable effort.
3 – Kitodan – One start this season, big faded. He won at KD last year; he needed a race. He will be in the rear of the field at the beginning.
Race 10 –
9 – Channeler – first start, breeding screams turf, workouts ok.
4 – Tapitoro – even workouts for first start, turf breeding, watch odds.
6 – Copper Missile – came wide and fast, closing in the first start.
