Tampa Bay Downs Race 5 – $125,000 PASCO STAKES
#2 – Cyberviking has won two races in a row, and three wins out of four career starts. The only race he did not win he ran second after experiencing trouble. Chantal Sutherland was in the irons in her last two wins and knows how to ride him.
#5 – Cattin won his last race at Tampa Bay Downs receiving the highest last race speed rating. His best dirt speed is fastest among today’s starters -He has Lasix added which may help.
#1 – Provocateur won his last race at Tampa Bay Downs which was the third race that his speed rating has improved. The rail post is winning at a 20% clip, Lasix is added, and he has a good 4F workout on 08Jan at 4f ft :48¨ B 3/25.
#4 – Markhamian won his last race at Tampa Bay Downs and is within a head of having a perfect start to his career.
Tampa Bay Downs Race 6 – $125,000 GASPARILLA STAKES
#8 – Strategic Bird has won the first two races of her career. She has the highest last race speed rating, and her best dirt speed is fastest among today’s starters.
#6 – Platinum Gem has won two races in a row at Tampa Bay Downs. Pablo Morales rode her in both of those wins and returns to ride again. Pablo has this record in last 7 days (21 8-3-3)
#5 – Outfoxed won two races in a row easily but has not raced for more than 3 months. She has been working out in preparation for this race and has a good workout on 07Jan at 4f ft :48.4 B 2/35.
#3 – She Nasty has won four out of six races during her career. Returning to dirt offers hope for improvement and the trainer wins 43% of the time when going from a Route to Sprint. Chantal Sutherland returns to ride and knows this filly well as she has ridden her in all six of her career races. She has a bullet 4F workout on 08Jan GP 4f ft :47 B 1/94.

#6 – Striking Chrome ran second in her last race only losing by a neck. – The trainer wins 23% of the races when going from the Turf to Dirt – The Trainer/Jockey combo in last 14 days has this record (12 4-2-2).
#7 – Allworthy finished 75% of the time in the money during her career winning 25% of the races. The trainer wins 31% of the races when bringing a beaten favorite back to race.
#4 – Molly’s Angel won her last race at Tampa Bay Downs. She has won the only race she has competed in at today’s distance and has a good 4F workout on 05Jan Tam 4f ft :48.4 B 2/25.
#5 – Don’t Get Khozy has ran in 56 races during her career finishing in the money 72% of the time, winning 31% of the races. She has the highest last race speed rating, and her best dirt speed is fastest among today’s starters.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 5 – $125,000 PASCO STAKES
PACE PROJECTION: Looks like the horse from the outside post #7 Magical Mousse will try and get the early lead. Has as much speed as the rest of the field adds blinkers and comes out of shorter races.
#5 Cattin– Has had 4 races and in 3 of those races had troubled trips. Won his maiden despite being pinched at the 5/8 pole. Next race jumped up to a 200k race and had a 4 wide trip. Next race jumps up again in class to a 400k race has a bumped start and goes into first turn 4 wide. Last race got class relief down to 100k race and got a clean trip and wins easily. With a clean trip really fits here and gets Lasix for the first time. Jockey Samy Camacho who got this horse its first clean trip rides again.
#2 Cyberviking – Has won 3 out of 4 lifetime races. The only one he lost he broke out and ended up finishing 2nd. Last race tried this distance of 7 furlongs for the first time and might have run his best race winning by over 4. Chantal rides this horse for the 3rd straight race and gets Lasix for the first time.
#4 Markhamian– Inexperienced with only 2 races but almost won them both. Has some speed and has a good late kick as well. Gets another half of a furlong of distance wish should only help. Also Gets regular rider Marcos Meneses.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 6 – $125,000 GASPARILLA STAKES
PACE PROJECTION: Looks like 2 horses will go for the early lead #6 Platinum Gem
And #8 Strategic Bird if one gets a clear lead that horse will be really tough to beat.
#6 Platinum Gem– If this horse gets a clear lead, it will be really tough, but I also think she can sit 2nd behind the other speed #8 Strategic Bird and still win. Likes Tampa Bay going 2 for 2 and both were easy wins. Speaking of Tampa, It’s a Saturday at Tampa Bay Downs jockey Pablo Morales has won 5 races each of the last 2 Saturday’s so when in doubt go with the hot hand.
#3 She Nasty– Will be rolling late if the two speed horses hookup this is the horse you will see rolling by them late. Never tried this distance but the horse seems to be able to handle any distance. Gets Lasix for the first time and goes back to dirt from the all-weather surface. Last two workouts have been really sharp including the last one where she had a bullet workout out of 94 horses.
#5 Outfoxed– Has won 2 of 3 career races. Both wins coming in the last 2 races with Edgard Zayas aboard and both were won by over 9 lengths. Has been off since the end of September but has been working out really well.

Tampa Bay Downs Race 9 – $50,000 WAYWARD LASS STAKES
PACE PROJECTION: A tough race to predict the pace as I don’t see a standout for the lead. A couple horses I could see go for the lead our #1 Nantucket Red and #6 Striking Chrome.
#4 Molly’s Angel– Has won half of her races on a fast dirt track 3 of 6 including 2 in a row. Her good races are the ones where she is going a longer distance which we are here. Has won at Tampa Bay which was last. She is 1 of 2 there.
#5 Don’t Get Khozy– Will be rolling late and always there at the end. In 32 fast dirt track starts she’s finished in the exacta in 23 of 32 career races. Finished 2nd last race in front of this race’s ML favorite #7 Allworthy.
#8 Serene– I love the ML value here at 12-1. Races off the turf for just the third time the previous 2 races were impressive wins. Has 2 wins and 2 seconds with jockey Rocco Bowen.

Sat 3 wide most of the race and took over coming into the straight to win going away
Both races he has run, he been right there at the end, lost by a head in first start
Distance shouldn’t be an issue, only 2 races at 61/2F
Workout was a maintenance on at GP and consistence with his past works
1 – Provocateur
Maiden win last out at Tampa, asked to go from start to finish
All 3 races have been ok, first 2 at Belmont
An adventuresome first start on the turf and appeared to need a start
Second race, showed speed, pressed, and backed up at the end
Show be up front again and rail starting position mean to me, he has to get out
A well-bred son of Into Mischief should like the 7F distance
Todd Pletcher trained with a record of 5 starters 3 wins 2 seconds
2 – Cyberviking
Beat state-bred last out at GP at 7F by 4+L
If the speed gives way in the race, he should be picking them up at the end
He’s won both being on the lead (2 races ago) and making one run
There are 5 of the 7 starters are bred in Florida in this race
Tampa Bay Downs Race 6 – $125,000 GASPARILLA STAKES
8 – Strategic Bird
2 for 2 coming into this race, 1 in overnight stakes race
Showed speed in both races from inside posts so todays outside post will be interesting to see how he handles the position early in the race
Both races have been with top speed numbers of 97 and 100
Won a Tampa and added distance shouldn’t been an issue
Mark Casse trained with top jockey aboard, just handle the starting post
1 – Ha’ Penny
Came up the rail to win by a neck last out but average speed number
But, the works since the win have been very good :47.3B and :47.2B standout.
Ran distance races both starts, 1 mile and 1.70 mile on AW
Rail helps? Won from post 2 at GP last out
5 – Outfoxed
2 wins in September at GP (one at 7F) and then put away for this race
Big wins too! 9+L and 13L with good speed numbers
Ok work at Payson prepping for this race, :48.4B and earlier a work of :47.4B
It’s really the fitness level after the 3-month break, maybe good enough to run in the money but win?
Tampa Bay Downs Race 9 – $50,000 WAYWARD LASS STAKES
7 – Allworthy
2 wins from 8 starts but been racing vs much better in last races
Beaten favorite last out but appeared to need the race, made a move on the turn but didn’t finish
Only one really bad race is forgivable, grade 1 at Parx with problems at the start
2 efforts at this haven’t been the best, so why here?
Rallied in one race for 4th and outclassed in the other
If handles 2 turns, should be able to beat this bunch
8 – Serene
2 for 2 at the distance and 1 for 1 on the dirt
Good effort on the turf last out then layoff since November
What’s is the best surface for this horse? AW, dirt or turf?
She’s lightly raced and may need more time to mature but good enough to run in the money here
Godolphin owned which they paid $800k daughter of Tapit
6 – Striking Chrome
At distance, she’s having 4 starts 1 win and 3 seconds
Wins races 4 times but also like to place, 6 times
Been hanging around the OC level so a step up here but this has a field of average horses
2 races at Tampa this meet, a 2nd last out on the turf, just missing and an average looking race at 7F before but did go between horses and the was 5 wide and lost any chance of finishing in the money at that point
