Tyler Conner’s Notebook for Penn National 4/29/22

Race 1- HERE’S WALDO

I know they like to be aggressive with this horse so that’s my plan right now and hopefully I can shake loose on the front end and hold them off.

Race 2- UNCLE YUDI

I expect to be in front here or very close to the lead with how the race looks. He’s sort of one pace, so I’ll have to stay busy on him. He should be tough!

Race 3- AMERICAN FORCES

I know this horse has had some bad habits leaving the gate but I’m hoping for a clean break and be able to settle just off the speed. He seems to be working well so he should be sharp off the layoff.

Race 6- NEW HIRE

The filly ran a huge race against the boys last out, she should have won if I had a cleaner trip. From the outside I should be in a great stalking spot, and she knows how to finish so I expect a really nice run from her.

Race 7- DOMINANT FACTOR

This horse is very lazy but there’s a lot of speed to run into tonight so that should help me. I’ll probably have to ride him the whole way around there but hopefully he fires and if he does, he should be right there at the end.
