Tyler Conner’s Notebook for Penn National 6/10/22

Jockey Tyler Conner

Race 1- ROBBYS RANSOM

This horse seems to run better when you let him run early, when I took a hold early two back, he never really got going late so I plan to break running and let him settle where he’s happy. I’d expect a couple to go but if I’m in front I won’t be upset.

Race 2- BLO MY BUDGET

This horse likes to run in the bridle so I’d like to let him settle and just drag me along the first half mile, I should be around mid-pack it looks like. He will run through traffic, so I just need to work out a trip and I expect him to have a good finish.

Race 3- SPIN CYCLE

This horse ran two good races going 5/8s last summer. Coming from routes i should be mid pack or worse early but I hope I don’t get too far back. I’ll have to get after him early, but he should make a big run and hope it’s enough to get there.

Race 4- IM YOUR PAPI

This horse has been disappointing but the drop and stretch out should be good for him. I’m going to do my best to put him in front and hope he just keeps going!

Race 6- TRADERS LUCK

From the 1 hole I’m going to be aggressive and try to get in front. There isn’t a ton of speed here and he’s pretty quick, so shouldn’t be an issue getting to the lead. Houghton usually has them ready off the layoff so I should have horse to finish with.
