22 to 1 Tom’s Eagle Farm Picks and Analysis
RACE 5
10 – Blue Spinel
Drops to this level after a poor effort at BM85. She’s been up against better horses in the past. She likes this course with three wins and has a good second-up record of two wins from four starts. She showed speed in her last race at this track before retreating, so she’s ready to make a big effort.
15 – Dirty Dancing
She has been facing lesser company and has won a few races, but only one at this distance. They are conditioning her with a barrier trial win before this race. With a winning jockey, a good draw, and speed shown in the last attempt, there is a good case for a reasonable effort today. Can you catch her at a price? Scratched from listed race to run here.
4 – Metalart
She should go off the favorite and has a good record at this distance. Her only poor race was a first-up effort at this track, and then she ran second or third in the next three races. She should be up with the pacemakers today. Is she not a short-priced favor and maybe 3-1?
RACE 6
8- Appin Girl
Since almost a year away from racing, she has three starts with a win and two seconds. She has been climbing the class ladder with each start. She was beaten by Abounding, who is in this race coming from off the pace. Another run at the listed level and back at a track that she has won before. Good draw helps.
1 – Revolutionary Miss
She is the class of the field, with group two wins and placings at the group one level. She won her barrier trial coming into this race. However, she had no attempts at this distance and never won, but she placed three times. She also has four starts at this track with no wins or placings. Her races at Eagle Farm have been at a higher level, and she should make the lead and could go all the way or at least hang on for a placing.
11 – Mahbaby
Last time out, she had her best effort in a while, running third in a listed race at this track. She sat mid-pack before improving in the race. Her draw for this race isn’t fantastic, but she may be coming to form and could get a piece at a price.
RACE 7
6 – Hella Fast
He is two out of three in the win column and ran second last time out. All his races have been at this race track. He’s been settling behind the leaders and moving forward on the turn. He adds distance today and a rise in class, but I like what I see in the form.
5 – Raikkonen
He won his last two starts, a maiden and a BM64, and ran his second start of his career. He has shown speed in all his starts. His last win was a four-length victory. Clase rises and adds distance, and his barrier position isn’t great, but sometimes, when you’re running well, you continue to run well.
13 – Break Free
Two runs and two wins at the maiden and BM58 levels. She sat in third position in the two races and won going away, appearing to have more in the tank. Unbeaten, class rise, ok racing times, and will show more again.
RACE 8
2 – Cifrado
After some time away, they returned and ran three times, won one, and ran second in the other two races. He won his last race by over two lengths and has sat back on the field in all his races. In form and ready for another strong effort.
12 – Transatlantic
he won his last start at this racetrack by over two lengths, sitting close to the leader. He’s won or placed at this distance five out of seven times and has two wins at this racetrack. He moves up in class and has been placed in the listed races. Has a nice chance.
5 – Strait Acer
After making some disappointing efforts, the last time, he ran his best race in a long while. He hasn’t won in three years, but the previous run was good enough for me to put in the money for this race.
RACE 9
2 – Nikau Spur
He has two wins, two seconds, and one third in his last five races at distances of 2000m to 2400m. He has a good record at this racecourse, too. In the running of the race, he will sit near the back of the field and make one run. His draw is favorable, and let’s see if the form stuff is good with a slight drop in class level.
9 – Belvedere Boys
Won his last start verse open company at 2000m by over one length. He came off the pace to win. After races at shorter distances, he may have want more ground to cover than before. I going with that idea and will place him in the money in this race.
10 – Felix The Scat
He won his first season start at the class three level and has moved up without success in his last two races. He’s placed in a group one race at 2400m, and maybe he wants more ground to cover. If he gets the run of the race, he will be a factor, and at 13-1, other bettors have the same idea.

19 – Bohemian Lad – another that prefers soft 5/3-0-1 no wins on any other type
10 – Blue Spinel – close to all or nothing – looking for a better race in 2nd up

3 – Bubba’s Bay – horse for the course 5/4-0-1 – distance 13/8-0-1
2 –Abounding – distance works here too – 7/4-3 – 2nd up should look a lot like 1st – won last out
8 – Appin Girl – improved by more than a second in his most recent
10 – Black On Beauty – scratched out of race 5 for this spot – better in 3rd up
Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS VO ROGUE PLATE – 12:52 AM ET
5 – Raikkonen – never a bad race in 3 – one for one on soft
13 – Break Free – classic “you don’t know how good a horse is until it loses.” Won on good and soft
8 – Mister Bianco – 3rd up and never missed the money on soft
6 – Hella Fast – another with surface versatility – win on good/soft and 2nd on heavy
Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS BUFFERING – 1:32 AM ET
8 – Milane – 3rd up – strong on soft 6/3-1-1 and ITM 8/10 at the track
7 – Contemporary – soft 7/2-2-2 – 3rd up too – won last time – but first at the track
4 – Rothfire – sticking to 3rd up – 2 seconds faster last out – performed well at the track and on soft
12 – Transatlantic – was faster by about more than a second last out
Race 9: MAGIC MILLIONS SHOOT OUT – 2:08 AM ET
5 – Little Mix – by far better on off surface – soft 10/3-3–2
9 – Belvedere Boys – strong on soft – strong run last out
8 – Point Counterpoint – let’s take a bomb – much improved last out and like soft
1 – Zoumon – could steal this one upfront on the quick turn
