Rich’s Ranks
Race 1:
3 – LONGLEGGEDLAVERNE – HIndy 9/8-1-0, TLRSP#, bullet work since last
1 – AZURITA – 3 SP# increases, has the top LP#s and 2nd best EP/LP combo
2 – CARRY ON – Left Arrow Horse, bullet work on Sept 28 says she will be better 3rd after a layoff
5 – TRAUMARAMA – tough call with the 4, both similar but the 5’s numbers are a little wilder and higher odds
Race 2:
9 – DONEGAL FACTOR – decently bet in debut, drops in class, 1st time Lasix 37% tr Brad Cox, major alpha angle vs 22% overall
1 – PACE – TLRSP#, has top LP# and +EP/LP combo
7 – MYTHOMANIA – going to take a first-time flyer here, tr William Cowans 26% winner with 1st time starters vs 19% overall – another Alpha Angle
10 – RIVER BOY – KD dropper, 1st Lasix all good stuff, but can’t help noticing much improved work on Sept 28 – best of published works, sitting on a good effort?
Race 3:
1 – HER WAY – tough call with the 10 for this spot, but our PP analysis says the 1 is a much better spot
10 – SNUGGLER – did grade out as the top horse, but 10 PP is a penalty
9 – ANGELSNDISGUISE – another that ranks a little lower than the 6 &7, but I am going to take the lighter raced horse with enough EP to get a comfortable trip
7 – TAP THE LINE – another tough call vs the 6, but we’ll go with the top LP horse instead of the class riser with early speed
Race 4:
2 – SUPE – Left Arrow Horse, drops in class, has the top EP/LP combo, 1st time gelded, 1st Lasix, 1st grass – going to take a shot in a maiden spot
11 – HALOO – has a +EP edge, weight break with speed, HIndy Turf 3/0-1-2, the 2nd was in one at the distance
6 – MIRACLE ON ICE – top LP, 12f of works sine last on Sep 1 – going to be fit, jockey upgrade to Pedroza says the horse is prime for a big run
9 – SIMPLY JACK – difficult… hard choice over the 10, but going to lean the lighter raced horse that has faced tougher competition and appears to have more upside
10 – ALYANAABI
Race 5:
7 – CABLE CHANNEL – BB – 1 for 1 on HIndy turf, 13f works since last race – tr Rodolphe Brisset & jy Alex Achard winners 9/14 together +3.33 ROI -that’s sick
1 – RIVER REDEMPTION – is a nose, head and neck going three for three on HIndy turf at the distance, that kind of hard to believe
9 – SAQEEL – EP horse trying grass for the 1st time, strong LP, decent off track efforts, 3rd after a layoff
10 – FUTURE VICTORY – 4 straight 2nds, tr Thomas Amoss 29% second off the claim
Race 6:
11 – HOT LITTLE THING – undefeated in three and each was better than the previous, won by 14 at this level last out
3 – QUILTER – won her debut with great comment, “ roused from three path into lane; drew past.”
7 – TIZZY JOJO – debut winner in May as the $0.90 favorite, another great comment, “clear lead, widen in hand.” – like the Sept 10th five furlong work in 59.3
12 – BLUELIGHTSPECIAL – lone PC horse with strong LP and EP/LP combo
Race 7:
2 – FIREBALL BABY – been competing at this level in the last 8, winning 4 with a 2nd by a neck, Distance 14/5-3-4
7 – CLIMBER – this is the right distance for her 3/2-1-0, lone EP horse
1 – BUMBLE OF LOVE – tie TLRSP#, hard call over the 3, but top LP#s, HIndy dirt 9/2-2-3
3 – BUOY – won last by 6 ½ lengths and has a maintenance work since
9 – TRAFALGAR SHORE
Race 8:
5 – HEALING WATERS – problems in last two starts, clean break with top LP could be the winning combo
10 – PASSING ATTRACTION – speed of the speed? Won debut versus 12 drawing away, swift maintenance work since
8 – GOOD FOREVER – TLRSP#, similar fractions at 6f as 5f, so it’s faster
9 – FIERCE JUSTICE – has beaten many of these before, just needs a clean trip
Race 9:
2 – NOBODY LISTENS – LS – +2f and ++4f EP edge, +EP/LP edge, very fast CD work on Sep 30
7 – LATIGO – HIndy 6/5-0-1, versatile horse has won from front, middle and back
9 – CIBOLO – HIndy 6/3-2-1, coming off best effort and has two strong 5f works between starts
10 – STARSPANGLEDXPRESS – EP horse with some of the best late pace and can handle the distance 11/3-3-2 – should be better in 3rd off the break
Race 10:
8 – UNPREDICTABLE BAY – just missed in last, lone EP horse, expecting more in race 2 off the bench and 2nd with tr Kim Hammond, 4/13 angle
7 – FRENCH COMPOSER – much better fractions in career start number 2, similar improvement today and it’s another win
6 – MARITAL BLISS – tr Thomas Amoss was last night’s guest, been training well and very consistent performer
1 – GO EMI – has a +LP advantage and a +EP/LP combo edge, HIndy dirt 4/1-2-1, and could of easily won 3 of them
Race 11:
9 – BRITTANYSGLDNFAITH – was even money favorite in debut, issues at the start, good works say maybe better start today – Chris P angle
8 – MY BOYS – has a +EP edge at 2f, speed wins at distance, could be better in career start number 2
6 – WILDCATJUSTICE – 1st time starter, works are good and tr Anthony Granitz hits at 23% 1st timers, 24% debuting at MSW vs 12% overall – strong Alpha Angles
4 – D’ KITTEN – TLRSP# with Z pattern, concerned that she burned $$$ as the favorite in last 4.
Race 12:
9 – APOLLITICAL UPRISE
5 – COUNTRY CELEBRATION
3 – RUNNING WATER
10 – IN THE CARTEL
